Customer Service Representative

Location: Europoort, Rotterdam
Hours per week: Full time, 36,25 hours
Replacement for maternity leave, temporary contract for 7 months

Your department

As Customer Service Representative you will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to an internationally dedicated client base. The main purpose of your role will be responsible for the whole customer order acceptance linked with administrative activities and for meeting and exceeding service expectations as set by the customer.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • You will be responsible for booking information on the operating system (Fr8) in a timely, accurate, and correct manner, and safeguarding that this is kept up to date throughout the course of the day. To this end ensuring that operational difficulties are being pursued on behalf of the customer and also taking necessary actions when the required company standards are not being met;
  • You will ensure that all requirements are met relating to hazardous loads and documentation and safeguard the data quality of orders;
  • You will build a constructive and pleasant relationship with a dedicated customer base, build a strong rapport with customers, and ensure all customer agreements (i.e. rate-; fuel- and invoice agreements) are recorded and applied;
  • Ensure that Planners are aware of the orders taken and the level of priority of these orders and you will be proactive in the solving of problems that may/or will result in customer dissatisfaction with service (i.e. failure in agreed service level; delays etc);
  • To advise customers on developments with regard to deliveries and collections including any changes to the agreed service level, delays, and extra costs;
  • Dealing with and resolving all queries relating to incidents e.g. refused loads or damages as per company standards;
  • To deal with and resolve invoice queries in a timely manner and ensure credit notes/RFI’s are kept to an absolute minimum;
  • To produce consignment statistics and key performance indicators (KPIs) as required and assist the Supervisor Customer Service in meeting commercial policy expectations and departmental objectives;
  • You will work closely with other departments, such as Shipping, Sales, Traffic, and other POFM offices in response to customer requirements and act in accordance with, all P&O Ferrymasters policies.

Who are you?

  • Have at least two years of specific work experience in a customer service environment
  • Have a strong affinity with logistics and administration
  • Are a real team player and service-minded
  • Have very good knowledge of Dutch and English language
