About the role
As a Junior ESG Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in managing the implementation and monitoring of compliance to Corporate Sustainability reporting obligations. You will work closely with our Compliance and Finance teams and other departments to gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports on our company's sustainability initiatives. You will also be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and developing and implementing strategies to address them.
This is a part-time position, with a fixed term of 12 months. Variable work-load can be agreed to fit around other commitments such as study and student term times as appropriate.

Work tasks
- Collaborate with our Environmental team, Compliance team, and other stakeholders to gather data and information on our company's sustainability initiatives and footprints
- Research and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Prepare reports on our ESG initiatives and progress towards our sustainability goals
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to improve our sustainability performance and achieve our ESG reporting obligations
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to Corporate Sustainability Reporting and sustainability
We are looking for
- For this role, we are looking for candidates who hold or are studying a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
- Ideally, candidates will be close to the end of their Master's studies or in the process of writing their thesis, with a strong interest in ESG reporting and sustainability. Position is also a suitable opportunity to combine thesis work and hands-on experience in a growing company.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages (e.g. Finnish or German) are a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred to have:
- Experience in ESG reporting or sustainability.
- Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks such as ISO 14001, GRI, SASB, and TCFD or theCorporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CRSD) is a plus.
